Meet Our Coaches
Allison Mattingly, CPLC
Personal Development & Executive Function Coach
Hello, I’m Allison and I am CCHTX’s newest Personal Development & Executive Function Coach. I am an educator by training and a guidance counselor by heart, sprinkled with a dash of entrepreneurial spirit, and a side of (functional) Type-A organizer. I’m at my best when I’m helping others achieve their goals and troubleshoot their obstacles. As an Enneagram Type 6 ("The Loyalist"), I am happy to get into the muck to find a pragmatic solution to stuck points.
What I Do? As a Personal Development & Executive Function Coach, I empower individuals to create and implement systems for personal and professional success. I work with adolescents and adults on gaining executive function skills to build positive habits, improve organization, and boost productivity. I help my clients identify their strengths and values, ensuring their goals align with their truest self. I tackle everything from the big picture to the nitty-gritty details.
My clients: I work with adults who feel like they don’t know what (the fuck) they’re doing and really want to start over. I work with high achievers ready to take it to the next level and entrepreneurs who have yet to unlock their full potential. I work with parents who value fostering curiosity and independence in their children. I work with teens who are on the precipice of their future and are ready to strengthen their functional skills and plan for the next steps in life. As a coach, I am a good fit for those who struggle to… prioritize tasks, manage their time, and/or plan for the future.
If digital and physical clutter are getting in the way of achieving your goals, if you’ve ever said to yourself, “I really have to get my life together”, or if you’ve ever considered what it would be like to have your own personal adult guidance counselor, coaching may be just the thing for you.
What you can expect from working with Allison:

More about me. I am a native Houstonian, a Galveston apologist, and a devoted follower of the education and parenting teachings of Dr. Maria Montessori. My professional journey has taken me from history teacher to guidance counselor to stationery store owner to professional organizer to, finally, personal development coach. I am delighted to be in the exact place I am supposed to be on my path. I am passionate about helping others and once had a Reiki healer tell me my life’s purpose was to “heal and help people”.
I am a mother to two teens who are brilliant, funny, frustrating, inspiring, challenging, hard-working, lazy, and anything else on any given day. I have been married to my husband and best friend for almost seventeen years. My favorite new role is of doting, fun aunt to my three human and two dog nieces and nephews.
When not working or with my family, I love to dance and have been known to bust a move without warning. I foster my friendships over dive-bar extra dirty martinis and rounds of American Mahjong.
