Alejandra Cervantes, LMFT - Owner, Lead Therapist, & Coach
Hi, I’m Alejandra. I am the owner and founder of CCHTX and I’m so happy you’re here. Some therapists spend a long time crafting lengthy Bios. I’m not going to that because I would rather chat with you and show you what I am really like over the phone or a quick video call. Instead… I’m writing the TLDR version for my fellow neurodivergent peoples (who like to cut to the chase). Below you will find the things you absolutely need to know about me (and the even shorter version in bold letters) if you are interested in working with me in counseling, coaching, or a different type of care.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who provides therapy/counseling and coaching to adults virtually and in-person.
I am easygoing, authentic, and down to earth. I will throw f-bombs in our sessions and joke around with my clients because authenticity is one of my core values and it’s what I would do with pretty much every other adult in my life.
Our work is a collab between you and me—YOU are the expert in your life and I’m here to help you achieve your goals (not mine).
My therapy style incorporates elements of Postmodernism, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Inner Child Work/Reparenting.
I am a highly skilled certified Brainspotting practitioner who helps clients heal from trauma and deeply painful experiences.
I am NOT just a listening ear who will nod during your session. I do provide clients with research based information, clinical recommendations, feedback, and tools to help them reach their goals (whatever those may be for you!)
I am a therapist with ADHD who was diagnosed after becoming a new mom and I am SUPER passionate about supporting individuals who suspect they have or have been recently diagnosed with ADHD as adults.
I am a human, just like you. I am a therapist and I go to therapy because I believe it is only possible to guide people in their own healing by prioritizing and experiencing my own.
I am no stranger to grief, and therefore, a member of the club no one wants to be a part of, so I get loss on a very personal level.
As you can probably tell, I am comfortable with self-disclosure to the degree that it helps you therapeutically (your sessions are not about me and you never have to take care of me or my feelings).
My greatest superpowers are my passion, curiosity and the genuine connections I forge with clients.
If I sound like a good fit, click on the button below to schedule a 30 minute phone or video consultation. You can also grab your phone text or call at (956)225-7076.
Change is just a conversation away.

More about me.
I am a human, mama, wife, creative, entrepreneur, educator, and lifelong learner. I was raised in the Rio Grande Valley and identify as a first generation Mexican-American woman. I graduated undergrad from UT, The University of Texas at Austin, and began my career as an elementary school teacher. Eventually I realized that wasn’t the right place for me and found my passion in therapy and counseling. I received my masters from the University of Houston Clear Lake, and shortly after began working in private practice in the Heights, Houston.
Therapy is not just my job, it is a calling and something I truly believe I have the privilege and honor of doing every single day of my life. I started Curious Conversations HTX, because I wanted to create a space where people & other therapists could really strengthen their ability to connect—with themselves and others. If this calls you, please stay tuned for more information on upcoming connection events hosted by CCHTX.
I live with my life-partner/husband & our two amazing small boys. I love to try new restaurants and I have a passion for learning, helping, & creating (ideas, crafts, businesses, you name it). In my free time you will catch me… JUST KIDDING! Did you forget I said I have two small children? I don’t have a lot of free time, however, when I do prioritize me time you can find me learning a new artistic craft, making lists, daydreaming about new potential business ideas, riding my bike on a trail, finding ways to remember and honor my brother, singing, reading therapy & parenting books, and trying new restaurants with my husband and very best friends.
